Soak

This year, Indonesian cuisine has made its joyful entrance to Epicuriales by proposing, in the Try chefs, a cuisine full of visual emotions, exotic aromas and sensations: Soak, a name to remember for hosting your parents and friends for a meal featuring traditional specialities.

I had the opportunity to organise a meal at home that delighted all our guests, who were eager to discover a further course full of tastes and discoveries. I'll share the tantalising list of dishes we enjoyed:

  • des Bala Bala – vegetable fritters – 2 pcs / person.
  • Rissoles – crispy savoury crêpes – 2 pcs/person.
  • Perkedels Kentang – Potato & Beef Rissoles – 2 pcs / person.
  • Pastries – fritter filled with chicken cubes, vegetables, vermicelli, corn, and hard-boiled egg – 1 pc / person.
  • du Nasi Goreng – Traditional Indonesian Fried Rice (nothing to do with Chinese Fried Rice...) – 2 pcs / person.
  • Fried Vermicelli - Traditional Indonesian Fried Vermicelli (not to be confused with Chinese Fried Noodles) - 1 pc / person.
